Meet the Team

Cathy Powell, MHSA, MS

Cathy was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University in Social Work and worked as a clinical social worker for 10 years before getting her Nursing Home Administrator License. In addition to her clinical social work, she has worked in long term care both in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.  She is currently licensed in the states of Tennessee, Virginia and New York and has her Assisted Living Certification in the state of Florida. Being a military wife has afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States. During this period of time she completed her Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and a Master’s Degree in Gerontology. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening and photography and is currently working with her daughter-in-law on publishing a series of books regarding genealogy and history of The South. Her smile is contagious and we are thankful for her leadership here at The Edwinola.

Chrissie Ryker, LPN

Chrissie was born in Winchester, Tennessee, but has lived in Dade City, Florida most of her life. She is married with two sons. Chrissie has worked in the healthcare industry for almost 20 years and graduated from what is now Pasco-Hernando State College with her LPN almost 12 years ago. She comes to us from Westbrook Manor Assisted Living in Zephyrhills, Florida and is excited to be back home in Dade City at The Edwinola. When not at work Chrissie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband camping, riding four wheelers and working in their yard. We are so blessed to have her as part of our team.

Stephanie Davis, MBA

Stephanie is a Dade City native with a passion for helping people, specifically seniors. She attended Oklahoma State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing (minoring in Business Management) and then came home to Dade City to attend Saint Leo University where she finished her Master’s in Business Administration program in 2013. She then began her career and has been working in the healthcare field ever since. When not at work Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking trails and camping with her Labrador Pete, traveling with friends & family and finally meeting up with her Phi Mu sorority sisters at Oklahoma State football games as well as on their annual trips. We are grateful that she is part of our team.

Anthony David aka "Chef Tony"

Our very own Chef Tony moved to Florida five years ago and is our Dietary Manager. He has over 20 years of culinary and restaurant management experience, in fact, while living in Ohio Chef Tony owned his own bistro called Tony D’s Grille & Cafe in downtown Chagrin Falls. In addition to his restaurant experience he comes to us with an extensive knowledge in senior dietary and dining needs thanks to his many years in senior living and care. When not in the kitchen Chef can be found running his son and daughter to and from various activities and chasing around their dog Hercules. The food is always delicious here at The Edwinola thanks to Chef Tony!
